fault, anger

I'm angry at people and myself for a situation that happened. I can acknlowedge my own wrong-doing in the matter and feel lots of guilt and shame about it. I also see flaws in how others acted. This brings a lot of anger to the surface and I feel like I'm not allowed to express it because I may have been "more" in the wrong. -- I've seemed to convince myself that I am this terrible person. Someone that's abusive and deserves to be alone. Any thoughts to the contrary get swallowed up, often by rage and vindictiveness towards others. I think in black and white. I'm either the complete issue or I'm the victim to these people. Otherwise I cannot find a reason to excuse my behavior and forgive myself.

Notes on finding your way

The first thing I think of on this small journey I've had recently is the idea that you already know what you want you are just scared to go for it. Scared of finding out what it actually means to put oneself, needs, and wants out into the world. It's a scary thing because most of the time the world seems to shut them down right away–like getting rejected by a beautiful girl.

You can get over that, even if it's hard but now imagine pursuing your goal or mission in life. Imagine what the pain of losing that would feel like. That's the risk then. The pain of losing your life's pursuit. I think then what you must tell yourself is that life is not in achieving your goals but in striving for them. In doing so you are effectively living your life.

When you decide that you want to pursue it you will quickly find that there will be many doubts. From all angles, including yourself–mostly yourself. What you must do is build a strong enough belief system to counter the enormous obstacle of self-doubt. If your goal is large enough, you may think of statistics to counter your optimism. It may be statistically rare, or close to impossible but what makes you different from the man whose the outlier?

The last thing I will say is that you don't know where your pursuit will take you but if you are genuine and work hard I can almost guarantee it will be the right place for you. (24 years old so don't quote me on that)
